WP 2: Cryosphere and release of stored organic carbon.

WP2 study GHG release under different permafrost thaw, soil moisture and temperature regimes. Stable and radio isotopes is used to trace origins and mobilization of C and N for process information on peat-snow-frost interactions with gas emissions. This is to develop process models for low temperature regimes. These models provide a platform to integrate data with landscape scale models and to link with climate models (WP8).
